Looking at photos from Download, it absolutely blows my mind that “Slipknot fan” is still a thing that exists in 2013. What happens, you get to the age of 16 and say to yourself “well, my taste in music is now objectively the best it will ever be, so I will just keep on listening to the bands I listen to now for the rest of time” I am lost in a sea of confusion.

Hans Zimmer has let me down for a while and been overrated as fuck basically since after The Thin Red Line (apart from some of The Dark Knight’s soundtrack is amazing), but the Man of Steel score is legitimately incredible. I’m glad he’s finally using a new melodic theme and not just being a total self-parody.
